Prana
Prana is our tribute to those beloved old-school roasts β approachable, resonant, and timeless. Its classic roast profile yields a cup that's perfectly balanced, with lower acidity and a satisfyingly heavy body, complemented by notes of dark chocolate, cedar, and molasses. Whether you prefer it as espresso, drip, or cold brew, Prana pairs seamlessly with milk, creating a harmonious flavor experience. Originally crafted at the request of a local cafe seeking a more traditional espresso than our American Beauty, Prana has evolved through careful adjustments to its blend and roast profile over time. From the roaster to the cupping table, and even on our La Marzocco GS3 espresso machine, we've refined the blend to pay homage to our favorite espressos from other roasters. Ultimately, everything is a hand-me-down, and Prana represents the culmination of the finest darker espressos we've had the pleasure of enjoying in the last 25 years. Named in honor of Prana Produce, an early local pioneer in organic foods from 1979 to 1986, this blend pays tribute to their commitment to quality and organic products. Borrowing their name and font for our blend, Prana embodies the concept of "prana" β the vital energy that flows through all living beings β breathing new life into your coffee experience with a symphony of flavors that rejuvenate the soul.
