A Greener World is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2008 with the mission of promoting sustainable, humane, and socially responsible agricultural practices. The organization provides a range of certification programs and labels that help consumers make informed choices about the food they purchase and support farmers and producers who prioritize environmental and animal welfare concerns.
A Greener World provides four certification programs, each with their own label:
Animal Welfare Approved: This certification program is focused on promoting the humane treatment of animals in agriculture. Farms and ranches that meet rigorous animal welfare standards are certified and labeled as Animal Welfare Approved.
Certified Grassfed by AGW: This certification program is focused on promoting grass-fed livestock production, which is considered to be more sustainable and environmentally friendly than traditional grain-fed production methods. Products that meet the grass-fed standard are labeled as Certified Grassfed by AGW.
Certified Non-GMO by AGW: This certification program is focused on promoting non-genetically modified (non-GMO) products. Products that meet the non-GMO standard are labeled as Certified Non-GMO by AGW.
Certified Organic by AGW: This certification program is focused on promoting organic agriculture, which is considered to be more environmentally friendly and sustainable than conventional agriculture. Farms and ranches that meet organic standards are certified and labeled as Certified Organic by AGW.
