It has three different chains of stores, A Pea in the Pod, Destination Maternity, and Motherhood Maternity, and operates over 2,000 retail locations. The company also has an exclusive contract with Kohl's to provide them with maternity apparel. Most of the company's merchandise is designed by Destination Maternity and made by third-party contractors. The company filed for bankruptcy protection in 2019, but was acquired by Marquee Brands in December of that year.
