Abode Farm

Abode Farm, located in New Lebanon, New York, is a certified organic vegetable farm dedicated to providing fresh, locally-grown produce to the community and region. Through collaborations with local farms and the New Lebanon Farm Store, Abode Farm offers a Summer CSA program that allows members to enjoy a variety of seasonal vegetables. With a focus on sustainability and soil health, the farm utilizes a mix of Belgian draft horses and tractors to cultivate 20 acres of land, following organic practices without the use of synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Abode Farm's core products include a diverse range of fresh produce supplied to over 180 CSA members, farmers markets, schools, food pantries, restaurants, and distributors. The farm's commitment to providing nourishing and accessible locally-grown food has earned them a strong market presence in Columbia and Berkshire counties. Abode Farm's unique value proposition lies in their dedication to preserving the land's health and ecology while producing high-quality vegetables through sustainable farming practices. Since its establishment in 2012, Abode Farm has grown from serving 35 members on 1.5 acres to becoming a prominent supplier of fresh produce in the region. The farm's mission revolves around offering farm-based educational opportunities and delivering fresh, seasonal vegetables throughout the year. Inspired by the agricultural practices of the native Mahicans and Shakers, Abode Farm continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. As the farm looks towards the future, their strategic direction includes expanding their reach to further communities and sustaining their business through a balance of ecological sensitivity and bountiful produce production.
