DENTELLE SOPHIE HALLETTE
Sophie Hallette is a member of the Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp, an organization that brings together various stakeholders in the European flax-linen and hemp industry. Founded in 1951, the Alliance connects 10,000 companies across 16 European countries, working towards the common goal of making flax-linen and hemp the world's preferred sustainable premium fibers. The organization extends beyond borders, promoting the values and benefits of natural, responsibly produced fibers from farmers to the point of sale. It conducts strategic research, providing economic and environmental information, as well as reliable scientific evidence accessible to all. The organization operates based on the principles of solidarity, innovation, scientific validation, and respect for people and the planet. The Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp has two certifications of origin and traceability: European Flaxâ„¢ guarantees the traceability of premium flax fibers grown in Western Europe for various markets, while Masters of Linenâ„¢ ensures traceability for linen produced by European companies on European and Euromed 1 sites. These certifications signify environmentally friendly farming practices without irrigation or GMOs, and the production of excellent quality linens through a local and sustainable supply chain, starting from European Flaxâ„¢ fiber to the final yarn and fabric.
