GREEN GOO
It was 2008. My sister, Jen, was growing calendula, chamomile, and a whole host of herbs in her backyard in Idaho. A certified herbalist and permaculturist, she would dry the herbs on an old screen door that her husband, Chris, configured on their front porch. Jen would then use the warmth of the sun to infuse the herbs in oils over the course of a full moon cycle. These infusions were used to create healing salves which were sold at local farmers’ markets.
At the time, Jen was also working as a midwife. She would often work throughout the day making salves in her kitchen, followed by night sessions assisting with childbirths. Our mom, Kathy, and I would travel from Texas, where we lived and worked, to Boise, in order to help Jen with production, and we would also stay to work at the various markets. Back then we were called Sierra Sage Herbs...

PHILANTHROPY
GIVING BACK
Philanthropy and humanitarianism are two of the philosophical cornerstones of Green Goo.  We align and partner with charities, aid organizations, and causes close to our hearts, both in the United States and around the world.  We honor and support our philanthropic partnerships in a variety of ways -- financial contributions from proceeds of product sales, physical product donations, volunteering, and more.
