Pittards

Pittards produces high-quality leather for gloves, footwear, furniture, and other goods. The company's glove leather division serves manufacturers of sport and dress clothing, as well as makers of military and other service-related uniforms. The shoe and leather goods unit produces cowhide leather for furniture, sporting goods, saddlery, and other products. Pittards' clients have included Adidas, Louis Vuitton, Timberland, and Timex. The company has been in operation since 1826. Though formerly owned by the founding Pittard family, the company is now controlled by Swedish investor Peter Gyllenhammar (backer of a number of other British manufacturing companies) through his Browallia AB.
