Specialty Commerce is a leading direct marketer of hairpieces in the US. Its Specialty Commerce Direct division sells women's wigs, wiglets, and extensions mostly through catalogs such as Paula Young but also through the website Wig.com. A similar catalog, Especially Yours, sells wigs, apparel, and accessories for African-American women. Its Daxbourne International unit sells similar products in the UK through catalogs and websites. A third division, Specialty Commerce Publishing, (which is unrelated to hair) offers continuing education for health care professionals via study-at-home courses. Specialty Commerce is owned by Canadian private equity firm EdgeStone Capital Partners.
