Spun out of a Bering‑Sea trawler in 2015, Tidal Vision pioneered a low‑alkali, closed‑loop method that converts crustacean shell waste into high‑molecular‑weight chitosan without hazardous solvents. Its 40,000 ft² Bellingham facility houses reaction kettles, continuous belt filters and spray dryers capable of 2,200 t yr. The firm sells chitosan flake, liquid and powder grades for water treatment, agriculture and bioplastics. For traceability it tracks every lot back to the plant of shell origin with RFID pallet tags and publishes an annual impact report detailing shell diversion metrics.
