Tsi Holding
TSI Holding Company is an investment firm that specializes in middle-market manufacturing and distribution companies. These companies usually have annual revenues between $30 million and $150 million. TSI is known for being a long-term investor, and often leaves incumbent management in place. The firm builds its portfolio companies by making all-cash add-on acquisitions. Some of TSI's holdings include charter airline Miami Air International, jewelry designers and distributors Sunstone Imports and Roman Company, and pipe distributor Tubular Steel. TSI traces its roots back to 1953 when founder John M. Hauck started selling steel tubing out of a room in the Railway Exchange Building in St. Louis. His son John C. Hauck continues to run the company today.
