The site produces approximately 450,000 tons per year of 100% recycled linerboard, using mixed Old Corrugated Containers (OCC) as feedstock. Integrated anaerobic digestion systems convert organic process residues into renewable biogas, significantly reducing the mill’s carbon footprint and supporting energy resilience.
A unique feature of the mill’s process is the valorization of screen rejects—a high-purity, short-fibre pulp stream—which is repurposed as specialty cellulose. This material supports a range of advanced applications, from hydro-entangled wipes to its latest use, since 2023, as a reinforcement fibre in bio-based foams, contributing to the growing market for biodegradable and compostable packaging solutions.
