GRANUM, INC
THE ORIGINAL ORGANIC TEA COMPANY Since 1989, we’ve crafted delicious organic teas made by a team of tea lovers committed to a healthy community and planet. OUR STORY Our story begins in 1980 when our parent company, Granum Inc, started selling organic macrobiotic ingredients, including Japanese tea, to natural food stores across the country. Discovering that organic tea was missing in the natural foods market, we began selling our imported teas under the Choice Organic Teas brand, making us the first exclusively organic tea company in the U.S. Later, we purchased our first tea packing machine and expanded our offerings. The first teas we ever imported are still available today: TWIG KUKICHA, BANCHA HOJICHA, and PREMIUM JAPANESE GREEN. As pioneers in the industry, we are the first tea crafter in the United States to produce exclusively organic, Fair Trade Certified™, and Non-GMO Project Verified teas. From classic teas and blends to sophisticated new brews that offer a twist on tradition, we’re dedicated to creating delicious organic teas. Based in Seattle, Washington, we are one of the few tea companies that packages teas in the U.S, offering more than 80 varieties of teas, herbs, and blends that honor people and the planet in every cup. Choice Organic Teas OUR PEOPLE Experienced, creative, and diverse, our team is a committed, hard-working crew. In fact, many of us have been with the company for 10 years or more, passionately perfecting the art of crafting world-class teas. From sourcing to blending, tasting to testing, packaging to shipping, we do what we do for the love of tea and the planet. Children in a classroom Making An Impact We believe that there’s more to a superb cup of tea than taste alone.
