- Alsace is annexed by Prussia and the new occupants require Alsatians what was later called the" Option ": stay on their land and become Prussian, or keep their French nationality but be stripped of all their belongings This is the choice made by Arsene ancestor of the founder. In a document kept in the archives, he said "" do not want to give his children to Prussia "" and asked that it grants a concession in Algeria where he had wanted to emigrate 30 years earlier. Housed in a small village in the Constantine area with his wife and two son, he works a plot of 35 hectares of olive trees, prickly pears, oranges, partly drained by the river Fendeck.
